Muri Beach Resort offers villa style self-contained accommodation surrounded by tropical gardens. Guests fill their days exploring the most pristine snorkeling grounds on the island, lazing by the resort pool or sipping tropical cocktails from the beachfront deck.. overlooking the beautifull Muri lagoon.
Operating off the grid, Muri Beach Resort is the only eco-resort operation in the Cook Islands that is power energy self sufficent. Proudly reducing their carbon footprint, the property is aware of the positive impact that this can have on the fragile environment of the Cook Islands. The resort also adopts a number of other very important practices to reduce waste and limit the amount of chemicals or harmful products that may end up in our landfills or our waterways.
Offering all guests bottle-quality tap water with a UV treatment plant treating all water that enters the property along with a stringent filtering system, they produce bottled quality water for all guest rooms, in fact, all water on the property. The results in a dramatic reduction in plastic waste from water bottles, plus a great cost saving for our guests who do not feel they need to purchase water.
Using bulk products for all Guest Room amenities, Sulphate free cleaning products for all in-house Laundry and Housekeeping, and planting organic fruits, vegetables and herbs - the resort is taking a multitude of initiatives towards sustaining the environment as an Eco-resort.
